The Cure is in the Prevention
My background is engineering. I was an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer for 30 years. If I was in the medical field I could not write what I about to write about for fear of losing my license. I spent 30 years as a controls engineer controlling processes. An interesting observation was if the controls were messed up, the process would not achieve the predicted results. The wrong chemicals, temperature or amounts would produce unexpected results which in most cases became waste and had to be trashed.
Believe it or not the human body is a chemical processing plant that is bio-chemically controlled at a level of sophistication of which we cannot even come close to understanding. Some may even say there is an element of Divine control.
Having said that there are similarities with the chemical processing plant, all controls have a setpoint to which the control controls around. In the human body the setpoint for temperature is 98.6 °F and the body does a pretty good job of maintaining the temperature when the body is healthy.
For pH the setpoint in human body seems to be 7.365. Measurements above 7 are alkaline and below seven are acidic. Three quarters of the human body is already alkaline. The variable that determines whether a body is healthy or sick are the internal fluids. Our internal fluids affect every cell in our bodies. Extended acid imbalances of any kind can overwhelm your body which can result in sickness and disease.
A swimming pool by comparison is sick when it is acidic and algae will grow but the pool is healthy when it is alkaline. Too much alkaline and the pool will cause scale on the sides of the pool. The challenges with a swimming pool are the controls are manual.
When the internal fluids of the human body stay alkaline the cells of the body stay young and vibrant and then the body remains healthy.
Maintaining good health and then prevention is easier than fixing a problem after it starts to occur. When the body is overwhelmed and out of control and acidic, it takes more of what was used to maintain the good health. Then the question is how much more is required. This will always be an unknown and will require serving amount experimentation until we can quantitatively measure how sick an individual is. This is why until we have this knowledge the cure needs to be in the prevention.
