I finally get it……The product you are promoting is not as important as the marketing system.

I'll say again. The product you are promoting is not as important as the marketing system.

Don't Dig for Gold, Sell the Shovels!

During the California gold rush at Sutter's creek in 1849 there were two groups that got rich. The 1 % that found gold and the group that sold the shovels and pans the prospectors needed to pan for gold.

Most people on the internet are trying to sell products. They all need advertising tools to get the necessary traffic to their site. There is so much promotional junk that doesn’t work it is very easy to spend a fortune and go broke.

Although I am promoting my own products and business opportunities I am doing it by helping others to advertise and market their products.

For an example take just a moment and look at---

The Perfect Business

A Perfect business runs itself, there is no selling, no cost, and no qualifying for commissions. There is no such thing. You can join a business that is totally free to join, has no operating cost, you can have a replicated website for free but it still costs something either time or money or both to advertise and to market abusiness.

With a deal like this it is easier to go to your friends, your family and all those people that have said no to you in the past.. Believe it or not there are some that will even say no to this because there has to be a catch. Nothing in this world is totally free. You owe it to yourself to at least know that a business like this exists.

Take notice if you have a poor business track record, are part of the 97% of us that spend more money on the internet than we make, are not coachable, and hate selling then this business is for you. This business is the business equalizer. It levels the playing field and allows everyone the opportunity to succeed. The only downside is will take some time to find people to join your team.

Social Justice through Knowledge

We have all heard the phrase, ‘knowledge is power’. Social Justice is always meant to me the distribution of wealth by taking from one group and giving to another as in taxing the rich and giving to the poor. Why not redefine it as taking the knowledge of the rich and giving that knowledge to the poor on how to use the knowledge to provide physical and financial health and wellness.

If there is a technology of wellness that allows one to understand the dynamics of wellness than those with that knowledge might pay less on health care by maintaining a lifestyle of better health and could be easily understood by everyone.

If there was a business that was totally free and you could not fail and if you participated in it you could change your financial wellness.

If there was a method that you could pay off a mortgage on property in 1/3 the time without increasing the total money being paid to the mortgage on a monthly basis this would allow the participant a way of saving 2/3’s the total cost of financing the mortgage and again improve the financial wellness of those participants.

So by having knowledge we can improve the financial wellness of the holders of the knowledge. In fact all of the above are real and with education would provide social justice by taking knowledge from one group and giving it to another. The actual knowledge will be shared in later articles.

Do we care about each other? Virginia Tech? 911? Columbine? Jonesboro? Life?

Tragedy, sickness and death brings us closer together by making us feel vulnerable and real. We again realize how much alike we are. Our blood is red, we have the same organs and at this level we care for each other and our differences seem to disappear.

If there was a way to maintain this level of caring for each other this world could solve most if not all of its worldly challenges.

If there is a positive in the tragedy at Virginia Tech it is that we must be reminded how important it is to step up and start caring for each other to make this ‘one planet’ a better place to live.

This caring for each other permeates throughout our entire society in a less subtle tragedy on a daily basis. The energy, food, transportation, petroleum, drugs, health and wellness industry are all connected along with our attitudes on how each area effects our caring for each other and how we perceive the fiduciary responsibility of making money and what is best for society as a whole.

We design houses to satisfy our desires but spend very little thinking about the maintenance and operating cost and how this building will effect the environment and the cost of operations. A little thought in orientation, windows, insulation, and energy efficient appliances, use of solar hot water and photovoltaic panels go a long way in helping to solve our worldly challenges. If we are to survive as a society we must start to attack each of these parts of these worldly challenges and start to care for each other.

SOCIAL JUSTICE through Creative Thinking

Social Justice is the distribution of wealth. One of the popular methods is taxation of those who can and then the distribution to those who can not. This requires taking wealth from one group and distributing to another group through the auspices of the Federal Government.
What we can do as a conscious and educated society is to provide social justice by supporting the creative thinking and making choices that benefits ‘the many’ of our ‘one planet’ rather than the pocketbooks of the few.
. Most money in this country is made where there is monthly consumption and spending. The masses work for an income and spend their hard earned money on consumables like non-renewable energy, transportation, food, drugs, clothing, electronics and real estate and monthly mortgage payments or rent, all owned and controlled by the few. All of these industries are part of the present status quo.. The answer is to support creative thinking and technology that supports the sustainability of our ‘one planet’ and its people.
Most products are designed with built in obsolescence . Our resources are limited and we need to slow the burning, the consuming, and then the throwing away of our resources in the name of profit. By collectively making educated and conscious choices we can cause change, make a difference and help save our one planet and in the process have social justice by lowering the amount being spent every month..
The sun and wind are free and renewable. And as it will be shown there are now ways to creatively finance renewable energy projects and mortgages and debt without any out of pocket expense, without refinancing the mortgage and without increasing the monthly cash flow.

Creative Thinking and making a difference

There are things we all can do that will make a significant difference:

· First lower the energy needs for the house. These recommendations will lower your existing monthly utility bill.
· Design a system that will eliminate this lowered utility needs.
· Pay off the energy savings improvements to get the best ‘return on your investment’ and making these improvements affordable.
· Pay for these improvements and your mortgage in 6 to 12 years.

One of the first things everyone can do that takes very little effort but can make a big difference for the entire country is to change our incandescent lights as they fail and replace them with CFL’s (Compact fluorescent lights)

There are various sizes of incandescent light bulbs and CFL equivalents. For this example each 75 watt incandescent bulb will be changed to 23 Watt CFL which is actually about a 100 watt equivalent. If we assume an average usage 4.8 hours per day at a cost of 10 cents per kwh considering the life of each and the cost of each device bottom line savings is $10 per device per year. This is not a very significant number until we multiply this by the approximate number of households in the United States. There are approximately 100 million households in the U.S. This equates to a $1 billion in savings per device in each household used per year and then add in the total number of businesses and then this number gets even more significant Now throw in the cost labor of changing and disposing of a consumable light more frequently – every 750 hours as opposed to 10,000 plus hours and the total cost becomes even more significant. Strangely enough the cost of the device is not where the savings occur but the time on per year and the unit cost of the utility. I have shown this when I put together a spread sheet and by changing each variable for any given average usage of time. The savings of the CFL varies between $8 to $10 per year per device and there is always a savings using the CFL.
In a 24 hour restaurant where I have counted as many as 300 incandescent bulbs in the ceiling, the savings are very significant and then add in the cost replacing the bulbs more frequently and you get the picture. By the way there are CFL’s that look like incandescent lights. This and the following recommendations accumulatively result in less electricity per household and then when adding in a solar or wind system will require a smaller and less expensive system. The ultimate results is more money in the pockets of the participants and planet that uses less resources.

The next area that can make a big difference is to buy more efficient appliances with an Energy Star rating when replacing old appliances. High SEER A/C equipment and 19 SEER is now available. Most people will of course feel that the price at the time of buying is more important than the years of saving money and energy .

The next recommendation and where you can get the most ‘bang for your buck’ is solar hot water with a tankless hot water device (electric or gas are available) downstream of the solar equipment as a backup for the solar hot water.. This actual solar product will depend on your latitude and your pocket book.. While the solar hot water heater is working the tankless hot water heater will never come on but when it is needed it will only run while there is a demand for usage.

Another area of consideration is insulation and windows and window treatments. This is an area of expertise I have some understanding but it really needs to be addressed on an individual customer basis but will contribute in saving resources. The recommendations will be slanted towards the products each vendor offers and will also depend on the age of the house and the existing structure, the size of the house, and attic space available and orientation of the house.

The last energy recommendations will be using the sun and/ or the wind to produce electricity. The actual system design will depend on the homeowners wants, needs, utilities existing, rebates, incentives cost of the per kwh of electricity and whether the utility has net metering which is preferred or net billing. With true net metering the extra produced electricity can be stored on the utility grid and purchased back at the rate it is sold to the utility. On the other hand net billing favors the utility because the utility purchases the power at wholesale and sells it back to the consumer at retail.
(A kilo-watt-hour is the number of kilowatts equal to the power required to light ten 100 watt bulbs per hour)

Whatever system is selected the method of paying for the system will make or break the deal. The keys to determining the return on your investment (ROI) are the incentives and rebates, the ‘per unit’ cost of the utilities and the method of paying off the system.

It is obvious that the better incentives and rebates will improve your ROI because the lower the initial outlay the better your return. Also as the ‘per unit’ cost of the utility goes up the more that is saved per unit of time so this will also improve your ROI. Note the cost of the equipment remains the same but the money saved per month increases. For example if one utility in California charges twice as much as the utility in Arizona then the ROI in California will be twice as good as the ROI in Arizona.

The payment method is not so obvious and can be most significant with regards to the ROI and make the above two concerns almost insignificant.

Imagine being able to pay off all your debt including your solar and/or wind investment and your 30 year mortgage in 6 to 12 years with out increasing your cash flow or your out of pocket expense. With this one creative idea will provide social justice to those that grab unto this concept. This concept will work on all income levels and mortgage sizes.

Normally in a 30 year mortgage the homeowner will pay 2 and a half times the house value in interest with a 6% loan. While most people live in a home on an average of 7 years the actual interest paid over thirty years living in multiple houses for the average time the actual interest paid is much higher than 2 and a half times. If the house could be 80 to 90% paid off in 7 years and all of this extra interest is saved, the home owner can invest this new money or roll it over to the next house as a substantial down payment. This creative thinking is a way the wealth can now distributed from the haves to the have-nots without directly taking money from the haves and not requiring any legislation to do it.

Rather than me explain the entire process of paying off your debt faster go to http://www.renewableenergyoptions.com/ and look at a video link. If you want more information, there is contact information on the website

Each of the above recommendations increases the cash flow of the participant. By taking this creative thinking to other industries and through education people can make conscious choices to improve their cash flow and may even improve the quality of their lives.

Think of all the waste that is produced in the name of profit so new items can be sold to replace obsolete items. For example I am on my eighth computer. Where are all the computers I no longer have? Most products are designed with built in obsolescence . Cars are a good example.

Our resources are limited and we need to slow the burning, consuming, and throwing our resources away in the name of profit. By collectively making educated and conscious choices we can cause change, make a difference and help save our ‘one planet’ and in the process have social justice.

The Economics of Health

In 1952 Dr. Jonas Salk developed a vaccine to prevent Polio. Later with the help of Dr Albert Saban they developed a version that could be taken orally. With that discovery and whole industry that supported Polio victims disappeared.

This was an important economic lesson. Find a prevention for a disease and the industry that supports that disease goes away.

The American Cancer Society has been raising money for research of cancer since the early 70’s and still has not found an economical enriching way to prevent cancer. All or at least most of their research is directed to the cure of cancer after the fact. Recently there has been discovered a vaccine for Cervical cancer but would there even be a need for the vaccine if there was a study of the relationship of good health and cancer. Even if there was an easy and inexpensive prevention what would be the economic reason for making it available.

Jerry Lewis has been raising money for Multiple Sclerosis for ever and still there is no cure. What is the motivation to find a cheap and easy solution for any disease? What if the cure was in the prevention.

What if there was a relationship between body chemistry and good health. You see there is no money in prevention for drug companies. The FDA only allows drug companies to say that their products cure something because of all the testing the drug companies do. In reality we know that most drugs only treat the symptoms. Drug companies want you to be on their drugs for ever and make more money. There is no money in preventions and most preventions are not patentable. I take drops for my eyes. There 120 drops per bottle and each bottle cost $35. What kind of profit is in those drops?

If I had maintained good health it is very likely I would not have ever had to take those drops.

So we have a health system that is out of control that could eventually bankrupt the country. Why not work on the prevention? It is really simple. Keep the internal fluids of your body above 7 and you maintain a healthy body.

As long as we can make phenomenal amounts money in the health industry there will be no reason to change the status quo. The FDA will continue to be in bed with the drug companies, there will never be a cure for cancer or MS and the health industry will continue to bankrupt the country.

pH Balance

The Cure is in the Prevention

My background is engineering. I was an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer for 30 years. If I was in the medical field I could not write what I about to write about for fear of losing my license. I spent 30 years as a controls engineer controlling processes. An interesting observation was if the controls were messed up, the process would not achieve the predicted results. The wrong chemicals, temperature or amounts would produce unexpected results which in most cases became waste and had to be trashed.

Believe it or not the human body is a chemical processing plant that is bio-chemically controlled at a level of sophistication of which we cannot even come close to understanding. Some may even say there is an element of Divine control.

Having said that there are similarities with the chemical processing plant, all controls have a setpoint to which the control controls around. In the human body the setpoint for temperature is 98.6 °F and the body does a pretty good job of maintaining the temperature when the body is healthy.

For pH the setpoint in human body seems to be 7.365. Measurements above 7 are alkaline and below seven are acidic. Three quarters of the human body is already alkaline. The variable that determines whether a body is healthy or sick are the internal fluids. Our internal fluids affect every cell in our bodies. Extended acid imbalances of any kind can overwhelm your body which can result in sickness and disease.

A swimming pool by comparison is sick when it is acidic and algae will grow but the pool is healthy when it is alkaline. Too much alkaline and the pool will cause scale on the sides of the pool. The challenges with a swimming pool are the controls are manual.

When the internal fluids of the human body stay alkaline the cells of the body stay young and vibrant and then the body remains healthy.

Maintaining good health and then prevention is easier than fixing a problem after it starts to occur. When the body is overwhelmed and out of control and acidic, it takes more of what was used to maintain the good health. Then the question is how much more is required. This will always be an unknown and will require serving amount experimentation until we can quantitatively measure how sick an individual is. This is why until we have this knowledge the cure needs to be in the prevention.

Network Marketing….Duplication?

I have been trying to do network marketing on and off for 30 years. I have worked in 8 or 9 of these organizations and in all of them I have had the same problem. None of them are truly duplicatable. If you are certain kind of person can do what your upline can do and do what they tell you to do and if you are coachable and do what we tell you to do you will be successful.

First they want you to bring them your warm market list and you will work that list together.. Well some of us are part of the NFL club (No Friends Left) so this does not work for us. Then they tell you that you have to contact 10 people to get one good one that is as motivated as you are and this person has to do the same thing and eventually you will have to be the one they bring people to and then you must help them recruit these people. Well I can make the initial contact but is more work than I want to do.. This is not duplicatable.

For one to be successful in Network Marketing there has to be a system that is duplicatable. A person who is a great recruiter has a difficult time duplicating themselves. They try to teach others to do what they do but find it difficult to find others who want to do it their way. If you cannot do it their way you are not coachable. The reason that these people are so frustrated is that only 8% of the population are sales types That means that the other 92% who are sales resistance will fail if they cannot do it like the recruiter does. So in most companies there is no system. There is only the recruiter’s system.

For example for one company the product was great and the compensation package was okay. . I am making $600/month and I only recruited one person. All I need to do is recruit 4 to 6 more people like the one I did and he needs 4 or 5 more like the one woman he recruited. You know the drill.. This business is not really duplicatable for some. If I had not found the present system, I might be stuck at $600/month forever. As I already said my warm market is none existing and I am not willing to go through 10 people to get one because then they have to do the very same thing. Because of this inactivity I am not qualifying for deeper levels where I could be making even more money.

Well look at this system that is made for people like me. It levels the playing field. It is free to join and you never have to pay anything. See if this will be your ticket to becoming successful as I know it will for me.

Click here if you have a business that needs help and it is not duplicatable.

After you sign up for free and get a free website I will share with you a company that is backing this one.It turns out this company is one of the fastest growing network marketing company on the planet that is duplicatable. Are you paying on a mortgage? Why?

Have you been told that you need a mortgage for a tax write-off? Do you know who told you that originally? The bank that owns the biggest and prettiest building in any town, USA. Well they are wrong, the real reason for the tax write-off was originally to make buying a house affordable so for the same price as for renting you could justify buying a house and help stimulate the economy.

Think about this. In reality the only time it makes sense is may be when you are in the 50% or more tax bracket and the write-off puts you in a lower tax bracket and if you are in that higher tax bracket and your financial advisory has not figured out a way for you to pay less taxes then may be you need to look for a new financial advisor. You are still paying a half to 2/3’s of your house payment forever that if you did not have to pay could definitely change your lifestyle.

How would you like to pay off your mortgage with money you did not know you had?

Pay off your mortgage in approximately one third of the time. Then if you had to have the tax write off, pull out 75% of the value of the house and invest it in your retirement knowing it would take approximately another 8 to 10 years to pay it off again. Now go to the article on the ‘rule of 72’ and see what is possible. To really understand what is happening let’s make an appointment and we will show how this all works. And guess what you do not have to refinance your mortgage if you do not want to.

Long distance we can do this by phone.

Banning the use of Incandescent Light Bulbs

An article written By ROHAN SULLIVAN (Associated Press Writer)February 20, 2007 11:00 AM EST
Australia to ban old-style light bulbs, go fluorescent to reduce greenhouse emissions

I could really see our government making this kind of proclaimation but it would be nice if people would just act on their own and start replacing incandescents with CFL's (compact fluorescent lights). The power required for these bulbs is one forth the power needed for incandescents.

We could save enough power in this country to shut down 19 coal fired plants and to top it off it is economical to use these bulbs. I did a spread sheet to show this and even with the increase in initial cost, the bulbs last longer and need to be replaced less and save enough on power cost to save $8 to $10 per year.

So why would not everyone jump on the band wagon. Ignorance is part of the reason, initial cost is more, some of the cheaper CFL's do not last as long as quoted and the quality of light is not as great for these cheaper CFL's. By buying the CFL's that are $8 instead of $3 you still can save a substantial amount of money over the life of the CFL's. The CFL's can also be purchased that look like the old light bulbs and there are ones with a lower profile that will fit in tradition lamp fixtures.

Guess what this is only a transitional bulb because LED's are just around the corner that will last for your lifetime and almost never have to be replaced and require one tenth of the power of an incandescent.

Rule of 72

Once the $100,000 is accumulated in the previous article on Saving $100,000 you need to understand the concept of the ‘Rule of 72’. ‘The Rule of 72’ says that what ever is your rate of return, divide it into 72 and that tells you the number of years it takes to double your money.

So for example $100,000 at 12% takes 6 years to double. If you have 36 years to retirement that $100,000 could double 6 times and would become $6.4 million. At 6% the same $100,000 would double just 3 times and become $800,000.

Another way to look at this is for ever $1000 a month you want at retirement you need $200,000 earning 6% in your savings vehicle

If you are already near retirement as I am and you do not have any money saved like me there are other options and all is not lost. The answer lies in a vehicle that produces the necessary monthly income you need to retire comfortably. Click Here! If you are not up for the journey then all is lost.

Saving $100,000

How long will it take to accumulate $100,000? We can look at a monthly contribution of $100. $500 and $1000 into a savings vehicle with a return of 6% and 12%, $100 at 6% will take 385 months to accumulate $100,000 not counting inflation and assuming there is no taxes on the interest.
$100 6% 385 months or 32 years and a month
$100 12% 241 months or 20 years and a month
$500 6% 139 months or 11 years and 7 months
$500 12% 111 months or 9 years and 3 months
$1000 6% 82 months or 6 years and 10 months
$1000 12% 70 months or 5 years and 10 months

All the above require putting extra money into a savings vehicle where it is never touched until a $100,000 is accumulated. The discipline and sometimes sacrifice it would take to achieve any one of these scenarios would be monumental and I dare say that not many people would be able to succeed.

What if there was a way to achieve the above in 6 to 12 years without making any additional payments into a savings account or for that matter not paying any additional money to any vehicle. Would you be interested? Click Here to find out more!

Making A Difference

The purpose of this blog is to some how ‘make a difference’. The other purpose is to make this ‘easy to repeat, (EZ2Repete) or duplicatable. I will be honest with you up front, I have an agenda. I want to stimulate peoples minds so they start thinking again. A lot of times I will repeat things in new articles and say it a little differently because may be you did not get it the first time. Also I want you to come back so I will try to make these ‘Blogs’ as interesting as possible so you will tell others about this Blog and come back often. Also I support canditates who are tired of the status quo and are not afraid to make bold statements and who want to make a difference.

I don’t know if you have noticed or not but everything is done for ‘the Bottom Line’. If we cannot make money at it, why do it? Well we need to start doing things for other reasons like for the survival of our planet and life on the planet. Just because you may have the money to do biased research to make your agrument seem right does not make it right and your judgement day will come. We all know these types of activities are prevalent in the drug industry and the food industry and why doctors as smart as they have to be to become doctors buy into this crap I will never know.

Have you noticed that most professionals like engineers, lawyers, doctors etc have their own language and their goal is to add a degree of complication and difficulty to their activities so they can protect their knowledge so that it is not Ez2repete and so they can make more money.

My goal is to make knowledge easier to understand and Ez2repete. We still need the professionals but we need to inform them to take the time to educate us because most of us are really not that stupid.

I can do this blog because I have worked as an engineer, I have worked in financial services, have an insurance license although I decided that my securities licenses where getting in the way of what I really wanted to do so I let them go, I have worked in the cash flow industry and for most of the last 25 years have been interested in alternative energy and the environment. I have a real hard time pronouncing medical terms but I really never tried to learn them or did I have to because my wife is a nurse which in itself can be a detriment when trying to talk about alternative medicine.

I will try to make all my articles solution orientated and some of the areas I will be discussing in later blogs are: why we do what we do?, health and wellness, the drug industry, the food industry, the nutrition industry, how capitalism is killing us all, disease, the status quo of the energy industries, what makes a business duplicatable, new technologies we need to embrace, financial issues and what is good for the pocketbook and the bottom line has hidden cost that we do not like to talk about or whatever else needs saying.

I am going to make some bold statements that are my belief’s and are based on my experience and you can take them as ways of stimulating your thought process and make you do further investigation.

I welcome your input but try to avoid bashing. What I want to see are solutions.

K.I.S.S. on the Internet

One of the challenges of retirement is surviving from one meager social security check to another. Fortunately I have found an Internet activity that is looking very promising. $500 to $1000 per month sounds very appealing to someone just on a social security check. The challenge is that not many people of my age know how to use the Internet.

The particular activity I am involved in requires that basic knowledge of the computer which we have to assume you have because you are reading this blog, time which most of us have a lot of these days and the ability to follow directions. Their are video tutorials, lots of written words and the activity is free to join so you can look over the information and decide whether this is something that you can even do before you even have to make a commitment.

One of the things I am not good at is selling. I spent 30 yrs as an engineer in a cubicle and the idea of getting on the phone and making appointments turns me off.
This internet activity can be rewarding with a little effort. Once you understand the setup process it is all down hill from there. It is free to sign up and signing up does not obligate you to anything. Click title for more info.
